1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ExifX.com ("the Service"), provided by SFWeb ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website or file processing tools.

2. Service Description

ExifX provides a web-based utility for removing metadata (EXIF, XMP, IPTC and similar headers) from supported file types. The service includes one free tier and paid subscription tiers (monthly and yearly). The service is provided "as-is." We do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime or that every metadata field in every file format can be removed.

3. Billing, Plans, and Cancellation

ExifX currently offers three plans: Free, Monthly, and Yearly. Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis through Stripe.

Cancellation: You may cancel anytime from your billing page at https://exifx.com/u/billing.
End of access: Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; access remains active until that renewal date.
No refunds: All payments are final and non-refundable except where required by law.

4. Payment Disputes and Chargebacks

If you believe a billing error occurred, contact us first at [email protected]. For chargebacks/disputes, we provide billing and service-access evidence to the payment processor and actively contest invalid claims.

5. User Responsibilities

You agree that:

You have the legal right to edit or modify the files you upload.
You will not use ExifX to scrub metadata from files for illegal purposes, including tampering with evidence or copyright infringement.
You will not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or attack the ExifX infrastructure.

6. No Warranty

ExifX disclaims all warranties, express or implied. We are not responsible for any data loss, file corruption, or legal consequences resulting from the use of our tool. You acknowledge that stripping metadata is an irreversible process.

7. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall ExifX or SFWeb be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the service.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of ExifX after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
